Hegman grind Gauge

The Hegman gauge uses a wedge-shaped groove with a scale and a scraper to spread a coating sample into a gradient film, allowing the determination of fineness by observing where particles become visible. It is used to assess the dispersion of particles in materials such as pigments and inks, providing a direct evaluation of grinding effectiveness in paint production and quality control.
Selection
When selecting, consider matching the measurement range to the sample fineness, typically ranging from 0-25μm to 0-100μm; stainless steel material ensures wear resistance; a calibration certificate guarantees accuracy; ease of operation impacts efficiency; and environmental suitability accommodates standard laboratory conditions.
