Melt Flow Indexer

The melt flow indexer heats plastic pellets to melt them and measures the amount of melt extruded through a fixed aperture per 10 minutes under the pressure of a standard weight. It is used to characterize the flow properties of thermoplastics under specific conditions, providing data support for adjusting plastic processing parameters and quality control.
Selection
Select the corresponding temperature range based on common plastic types (e.g., 180-300℃), and configure weights to cover standard loads from 0.325 to 21.6 kg. Ensure that the die dimensions comply with ISO/ASTM standards, and the heating temperature control accuracy should be within ±0.2℃. The equipment should feature automatic cutting and weighing functions, with corrosion-resistant and easy-to-clean materials.
