Selection
When selecting, consider matching the substrate surface roughness with the rod line diameter; ink viscosity determines the line thickness. Use stainless steel for solvent-based inks and chrome-plated versions for water-based inks. Ensure the straightness error of the rod is less than 0.002 mm, with a working surface roughness of Ra ≤ 0.25 μm. The commonly used line diameter range in laboratories is 6–200 μm.
