Pendulum-Type Impact Tester

The pendulum impact tester measures the energy absorbed by a material during fracture by releasing a pendulum to strike a test specimen. It is used to evaluate the impact resistance of materials such as plastics and coatings, assessing their durability during transportation or use.
Selection
When selecting, consider matching the specimen size with the fixture specifications, ensuring the impact energy range covers the strength of the test material and complies with ASTM/ISO standard requirements. Check the wear of the pendulum bearings to ensure energy loss is below the standard value.
