Opacity chart for coating films

The hiding power card is a test substrate printed with black and white grid patterns on its surface. After evenly applying the coating, the minimum coating amount required to completely cover the grid patterns is determined visually or with instruments, reflecting the coating's ability to conceal underlying colors. It is used for quality control in both the production and application of coatings.
Selection
When selecting, pay attention to the flatness and coating absorbency of the cardstock. The boundaries between black and white areas should be clear and sharp. Match the cardstock material according to the type of coating being tested, considering the grid size required by the testing standards. Ensure the cardstock has a stable base color without color bleeding, meeting the operational needs in the actual testing environment.
