Whiteness Value Chroma Meter

A whiteness meter measures color by illuminating a sample with a built-in light source, where a sensor captures the reflected light and converts it into an electrical signal. The processor then calculates the value based on standard whiteness formulas. It is used to quantify the degree of whiteness on material surfaces and is commonly applied in the color quality control of paper, plastics, and textiles during production processes.
Selection
When selecting, focus on matching the measurement aperture to the sample size, and ensure the calibration plate is equipped with ceramic material. The instrument must support industry-standard whiteness formulas. For portability needs, consider a handheld model, while a benchtop model is suitable for laboratory environments. Verify the instrument's repeatability error range, and ensure the interface type is compatible with the data export method.
