Double-needle Shore A duroMeter

The dual-needle Shore A durometer measures the depth of material penetration through a spring-loaded indenter and converts it into a hardness value. It is used to test the resistance to indentation of soft plastics, rubber, and other materials, and to determine the softness or hardness of materials in quality control.
Selection
When selecting, consider that the thickness of the material being tested is greater than 6 mm, and the ambient temperature is stable. The indenter should be perpendicular to the contact surface, and the instantaneous maximum value should be read quickly. Compare with the material's standard hardness range to ensure the indenter is not worn and the pointer returns to zero accurately.
