Stripping steel plate

The release steel plate is a metal plate with a specific surface roughness. It is used to form standard test specimens by pressing adhesive into it, for testing the separation force between tape or coating and the substrate. During testing, one end of the specimen is fixed, while the other end is peeled off at a constant speed, and the instrument records the peel force value. This tool is used to evaluate the bonding durability and uniformity of adhesive products, commonly applied in quality control for packaging materials and pressure-sensitive tapes.
Selection
The selection of the peeling steel plate must match the thickness of the test material, with common specifications including 0.2mm and 0.5mm. The surface roughness should be chosen according to the testing standards, with smooth and matte surfaces corresponding to different adhesive substances. The steel plate material should be stainless steel to ensure corrosion resistance, and its dimensions must comply with the specifications of the test instrument's card slot. After use, clean residual adhesive from the surface with a solvent, and regularly inspect the flatness of the plate using an optical flat.
