Flexographic ColoriMeter

Flexographic colorimeters capture the visible spectrum reflected from the surface of flexographic materials using optical sensors and convert it into digital chromaticity values. They are used for on-site rapid detection of color differences between printed products and standard color samples, ensuring color consistency in the flexographic printing process. They are commonly employed in quality monitoring for printing on flexible materials such as packaging and labels.
Selection
When selecting, consider that the measurement aperture matches the size of the printed pattern and supports the CIE Lab color space. Ensure the instrument is compatible with flexographic glossy/matte materials, with a repeatability error of less than 0.4 ΔE. It should include ambient light shielding functionality and come with color management software capable of exporting inspection reports.
