UV-Visible SpectroMeter

UV-Vis spectrophotometers analyze substances based on their absorption characteristics of ultraviolet and visible light. A light source emits a continuous spectrum, which is dispersed by a monochromator before passing through the sample, and the intensity of transmitted light is measured by a detector. By comparing the difference in absorbance between the sample and a reference, the concentration of a substance or its structural identification can be determined. It is used for measuring solution concentrations, purity testing, and monitoring reaction processes.
Selection
When selecting, consider the measurement wavelength range and accuracy to match the sample characteristics. Pay attention to the optical path structure and detector type, as these affect the signal-to-noise ratio and stability. Choose cuvettes or integrating sphere accessories based on the sample form. Evaluate the automation and data processing functions to meet the testing volume requirements. Verify the ease of instrument calibration and maintenance.
