Electrochemical Oxygen Detector

Electrochemical oxygen detectors generate a current through the reaction of oxygen with the electrolyte inside the sensor, where the magnitude of the current is proportional to the oxygen concentration. They are used to measure environmental oxygen levels, ensuring safety in confined spaces and preventing risks of hypoxia or hyperoxia in industrial process control.
Selection
When selecting, ensure the measurement range covers the usage requirements. For general environments, a range of 0–30% volume concentration is suitable, while special models are required for high concentrations. Pay attention to the response time and sensor lifespan, with regular sensors requiring replacement every 2 years. Choose a protective housing based on the explosion-proof rating, and opt for IP65 or higher protection for humid environments. For portable devices, consider battery life; for fixed installations, ensure the output signal is compatible with existing equipment.
