UV-Visible SpectroPhotoMeter

UV-Vis spectrophotometers measure substances based on their absorption characteristics of ultraviolet and visible light. A light source emits a continuous spectrum, which is dispersed by a monochromator and then passes through the sample. The detector records the intensity of the transmitted light. By comparing the absorbance of the sample and a reference, the concentration of the substance can be determined or qualitative analysis can be performed. It is applied in measuring solution concentration, monitoring chemical reactions, and checking purity.
Selection
When selecting, consider a measurement wavelength range covering 190-1100 nm, and choose the cuvette material according to the sample type. Pay attention to the spectral bandwidth and photometric accuracy indicators to ensure the detector sensitivity matches the detection requirements. Verify the automatic wavelength calibration and baseline correction functions, and evaluate the software's data processing capabilities. Confirm that the sample chamber size is compatible with conventional or micro-sample holders.
