Desktop Coating Thickness Meter

The desktop coating thickness gauge measures the thickness of coatings on substrate surfaces non-destructively through magnetic induction or eddy current principles. The magnetic induction method is used for steel substrates, while the eddy current method is applied to non-ferrous metals. During operation, the probe is brought into contact with the coating, and the instrument automatically displays the thickness value. It is widely used in industrial quality inspection for processes such as electroplating, spraying, and anti-corrosion coatings.
Selection
When selecting, ensure that the substrate type matches the measurement principle: use magnetic induction for ferrous substrates and eddy current for non-ferrous substrates. The measurement range must cover the thickness of the coating to be measured, and the accuracy must meet the process requirements. Consider the probe size to suit the measurement location, and check the instrument's calibration certificate and temperature stability.
