I-beam Film Applicator

The I-shaped film applicator controls the coating thickness using a metal strip to scrape a uniform wet film onto the substrate. It is used in laboratories to simulate coating processes and test the leveling and hiding power of coatings.
Selection
Select the gap size based on the viscosity of the coating; choose a larger gap for high viscosity. Consider the flatness of the substrate; use a flexible blade for curved substrates. Stainless steel material is resistant to solvent corrosion.
