Ink Coating Applicator Rod

The ink coating rod is a metal rod wound with steel wire of a specific diameter, which controls the thickness of ink transfer through the gap. When manually pushed, it forms a uniform wet film on the substrate, used for printability testing, color difference comparison, and coating thickness simulation.
Selection
Select the wire diameter based on the substrate roughness, using fine wire for smooth paper and coarse wire for rough cardboard. Determine the winding gap according to ink viscosity, opting for larger gaps with high-viscosity inks. When experimental standards specify a wire diameter range, use the median value; if no standard exists, adjust through pre-testing.
