Coating Blade Applicator Rod

The paint drawdown bar is a metal rod with engraved scales, used to create a wet film with decreasing thickness by evenly spreading paint on a flat substrate. It is designed for quickly evaluating the hiding power, leveling, and color performance of coatings. It is suitable for quality control in laboratory settings and process adjustments in production environments.
Selection
When selecting, consider that the scraper material must be corrosion-resistant, the scale range should cover the thickness of the sample to be tested, the gap accuracy should comply with inspection standards, and the operation handle should be ergonomic. Choose an appropriate gap width based on the viscosity of the coating, and ensure that the edges of the scraper are smooth and burr-free when comparing with the standard color chart.
