Indentation Shore Hardness Tester

The Shore durometer measures hardness by vertically pressing a spring-loaded indenter into the material's surface and converting the penetration depth into a hardness value. It is used to test the indentation resistance of soft materials such as plastics and rubber, helping to determine the material's softness or hardness in quality control.
Selection
When selecting, consider that the material thickness is greater than 6 mm, choose Type A (soft) or Type D (hard) based on the hardness range. The testing environment should be flat and stable, the indenter should be intact without wear, and the calibration cycle should align with the frequency of use.
