Desktop Brix Meter

A desktop refractometer utilizes the principle of light refraction to determine sugar concentration by measuring the refractive index of liquids. It is used for rapid sugar detection in liquid foods such as juices, beverages, and sauces. During operation, a sample is dropped onto the prism, and the sugar content value is displayed directly on the scale.
Selection
When selecting, consider that the measurement range should cover common sugar levels of 0–90%, include temperature compensation functionality, and the prism should be made of wear-resistant materials such as sapphire. Calibration should be verified using distilled water and standard sugar solutions, and attention should be paid to the minimum sample coverage and ease of cleaning.
