Rod Coating Machine with Drawdown Bar

The film applicator, or drawdown rod Coater, forms a uniform film of coating by rolling a metal rod at a constant speed over the substrate surface. It is used in laboratories to simulate industrial coating processes, testing the hiding power, leveling, and color development of coatings. It is suitable for quality control testing of inks and paints.
Selection
When selecting, consider the substrate type and size to match the coating width. Determine the rod diameter specification based on the coating viscosity. A constant-speed motor is required to ensure coating thickness consistency. Preferentially choose rod bodies made of corrosion-resistant materials.
