RefractoMeter for Brix Measurement

A refractometer measures sugar concentration based on changes in the refraction angle of light as it passes through a liquid. Light is directed from a prism into the sample, and the refractive index correlates with the sugar content, allowing the sugar degree to be read directly from a scale. It is used for process control and quality testing in food processing, such as in juices, beverages, sauces, and other products.
Selection
When selecting, consider that the measurement range should match the common brix range of 0-90%, with accuracy meeting the basic requirement of ±0.1%. The sample volume should be suitable for handheld or benchtop designs. The automatic temperature compensation function should adapt to environmental changes, the protection rating should comply with usage scenarios, and the calibration method should be simple and reliable.
