Martindale Tester

The Martindale abrasion tester simulates the wear process of materials during use by subjecting circular specimens to reciprocating friction against standard abrasives under a fixed pressure. It is used to determine the abrasion resistance, pilling, and fuzzing properties of fabrics, leather, and other materials, and is widely applied in textile quality inspection and research and development.
Selection
When selecting, consider the load range and motion trajectory required by the testing standards, ensuring that the specimen fixture size matches the material to be tested. Choose the counter accuracy based on the testing frequency, and note that the observation window design affects real-time monitoring effectiveness. The equipment structure influences long-term testing stability.
