Handheld Shore A DuroMeter

The handheld Shore A durometer uses spring pressure to press the needle into the material surface, measuring the depth of penetration and converting it into Shore A hardness values. It is used to test the indentation resistance of soft plastics, rubber, and other materials, enabling quick on-site assessment of material softness and hardness.
Selection
When selecting, consider materials with a thickness greater than 6 mm and a testing range between 20-90 HA. Ensure the indenter is intact and free from wear, and the pointer returns accurately to zero. The ambient temperature should be maintained at 23±2℃, avoiding direct sunlight. Calibrate and verify using standard hardness blocks.
