Eddy Current Hardness Tester

The eddy current hardness tester generates a high-frequency electromagnetic field through the probe, inducing eddy currents on the metal surface. The intensity of the eddy currents is influenced by the material's electrical conductivity and hardness, and hardness values are calculated by measuring changes in impedance. It is used for rapid detection of surface hardness of metal parts after heat treatment and is suitable for online inspection of automotive components, bearings, and other parts.
Selection
When selecting, consider the conductivity range of the material being tested. Specialized models are required for non-ferrous metals such as aluminum alloys. Choose a flat or curved probe based on the shape of the workpiece, with a typical detection depth of 0.1–2 mm. Environmental temperature affects accuracy, so models with a protection rating of IP54 or higher are recommended for industrial sites. Calibrate the measurement range by comparing it with standard hardness blocks, with the typical range covering 50–110 HS units.

Pencil Hardness Tester for Rapid Evaluation of Coating Surface Hardness
The pencil hardness tester is a tool used for rapidly assessing the relative hardness of coating surfaces through standardized scratch tests. It employs a series of pencil leads with known hardness levels, which are drawn across the coating under a fixed load and angle. The hardness grade, ranging from 6B to 9H, is determined based on whether a permanent scratch is produced.
