Principle

The pH meter uses a Glass electrode as an indicator Electrode, which is sensitive to hydrogen ions. When inserted into the solution under test, the Electrode potential changes with the concentration and temperature of hydrogen ions. At 25 ° C, the Electrode potential changes by 59.16mV for every 1 pH change. The potential change between the Glass electrode and the reference Electrode (Calomel electrode) conforms to the formula: Delta E = -58.16 × Delta pH × (273 + t ° C)/293 (mV). The pH value of the solution is determined by measurement of the potential difference between the two Electrodes. PHS-3E is equipped with a composite Electrode composed of Glass electrode and Ag-Agcl Electrode, with a pH value of 7 +/- 0.25pH at zero point.
