Overview
The INESA WYA-2W Abbe refractometer is an Optical inspection refractive instrument that uses the principle of refraction to quickly and easily determine the refractive index (nD), sugar content (Bix) and concentration of solutions. The instrument has a measurement range of 1.3~ 1.7nD, uses a stainless steel base and a hard Glass prism, which is not easy to abrasion. It is suitable for the determination of the refractive index nD and average dispersion nD-nC of transparent and translucent liquids or solids. Temperature range of 10-50 ℃ can be determined by connecting Thermostat.
Features
1. Stainless steel base and hard Glass prism, not easy to abrasion
2. Measurement range, refractive index 1.3000~ 1.7000nD, sugar content 0~ 95% Brix
3. Measurement accuracy, refractive index accuracy of 0.0003nD
4. Equipped with binocular system, telescope magnification 2x, reading magnification 22x
5. Thermostat can be connected to extend the temperature Measurement range
6. Reasonable structural design and easy operation
Principle
The WYA-2W Abbe refractometer works based on the principle of refraction of light, and determines the refractive index of the sample by measuring the refraction phenomenon that occurs when the ray of light propagates in different media. The instrument uses a prism group and an Optical inspection system to refract when the ray of light passes through the sample. Through the eyepiece observation and reading system, the refractive index, sugar content and other related parameters can be accurately determined.
Applications
Petroleum industry, oil industry, paint industry, daily chemical industry, sugar industry, geological investigation
Steps
1. Open the protective cover of the instrument and check that all parts are in good condition
2. Adjust the reflector to make the rays of light sufficient
3. Open the prism group and add the sample to be tested dropwise
4. Adjust the prism to rotate the handwheel to make the field of vision clear
5. Measured values are observed and read through the eyepiece
6. Record refractive index or sugar content data
7. Clean the prism and turn off the instrument
Notice
• Check whether the components of the instrument are in good condition before use
The sample should cover the surface of the prism evenly
• Avoid hard objects scratching the surface of the prism
• Clean the prism after measurement
• Optical inspection parts are kept clean
• Pay attention to the temperature control range when connecting Thermostat
• Cover with a protective cover to prevent dust during storage
