Overview
The PosiTector PC Powder Checker is a non-contact powder coatings thickness gauge manufactured by the Defelsko brand. It uses ultrasonic technology to automatically calculate and display the predicted post-curing coating thickness by measuring the powder coating thickness before curing. It is easy to operate and does not require contact with coatings.

Support wireless technology, can synchronize with PosiSoft.net for software updates in real time, and connect with Miscellaneous mobile devices to expand functions. Can connect computers and printers via USB or Bluetooth to transfer data, store 100,000 reading values (1,000 groups), with continuous reading/basic statistical functions (maximum, minimum, average). Connect to the computer through the USB port and continuously power supply.
Principle
The instrument uses ultrasonic technology to measure the powder coating thickness before curing in a non-contact state, and automatically calculates and displays the predicted coating thickness after curing based on this data.
Steps
1. Turn on the power of the device.
2. Align the Probe to the surface of the powder coating before curing, maintaining a measurement distance of about 18mm.
3. Trigger measurement, the instrument will display the measurement result within 2-5 seconds (host and Probe display at the same time).
4. To improve the measurement accuracy of a particular powder or substrate, use the calibrate option.
5. The measurement data can be stored and transmitted, analyzed or printed via USB or Bluetooth connection.
Notice
• Make sure that the Probe maintains a specified distance of about 18mm from the coating surface during measurement.
• For some special powder coatings or substrates, it is recommended to use the calibrated adjustment function to ensure accuracy.
• Although the instrument has a protective function, it should still avoid exposure to excessive solvents, acids, oils and other substances.
• Please use the specified rechargeable alkaline battery and continuously power the device through the USB port.
• The host and Probe are connected via Bluetooth, and the effective operating distance is about 10 meters.
• Protect Probes as replaceable parts, which can be replaced if damaged.
