Steps
1. Test preparation: According to the standard requirements, the test plate is prepared at (23 +/- 2) ° C and the relative humidity is (50 +/- 5) % for 24 hours.
2, calibrated instruments:
(1) Pour a certain amount of sand into the funnel, check the sand flow falling from the lower end of the duct, and calibrate the device with the bottom adjustment screw until the center of the sand beam falls exactly at the center of the sand flow when viewed from two positions of 90 °.
(2) Use the height adjustment nut to adjust the distance from the pipe to the painted surface.
(3) According to the ASTM standard, when measuring in the vertical direction, the nearest point is 1 inch (25mm), the user needs to adjust according to his own sample thickness, and the machine adjusts 25mm in advance when leaving the factory.
(4) Pour in a certain volume of sand (preferably 2000 +/- 10ml) and measure the outflow time. According to the ASTM standard, the outflow rate should be 2L within 21s-23.5s. When tested with international standard sand, the measured speed is more than 7L in 1 minute.
Notice
• Before the test, it is necessary to prepare the test plate according to the standard and leave it under the specified temperature and Humidity conditions for sufficient time.
• The instrument must be calibrated before use, including the center position of the sand flow, the distance between the pipe and the test plate, and the outflow speed of the sand.
When adjusting the distance between the catheter and the painted surface, it is necessary to make accurate adjustments according to ASTM standards and the thickness of the sample.
• When testing, use sand that meets the standard, and control the Flow velocity of the sand to meet the test requirements.
