Overview
The RONGJIDA RJD-412 transparency tester is a special instrument for detecting transparency such as varnish, oil and dilute solvents. It is an upgrade of the TMD transparency tester. The instrument achieves a higher Test accuracy of +/- 1% and a larger test range of 0.0% to 125.0%. It is designed and produced according to the standard GB1721. It adopts LCD display, tungsten halogen lamp light source and single beam of light light path system. It is easy to operate, no need to add standard Reagent, and the product transparency level can be quantified.

Principle
The Working Principle of this instrument is to use substances to selectively absorb light of different wavelengths for analysis. If the solution under test is completely transparent, the intensity of the directional transmitted light can be detected after the directional incident ray passes through the solution; if the solution is turbid, the diffusion of light will occur, resulting in the reduction of the intensity of the directional transmitted light. By accurately measuring the intensity of the directional transmitted light, the transparency of the solution can be reflected by the Basis Weight.

Steps
1. Boot preheating: It should be preheated for 30 minutes before use.
2. Wavelength adjustment: Turn the wavelength knob to adjust to the required test wavelength (460 nanometers). Note: After correction, it needs to be stabilized for 5 minutes before testing.
3. Set the test mode: Press the function key to switch the two test modes of "Transmittance" and "Absorption Rate".
4. Use of Glass Cuvette: Use the Cuvette that has been paired and tested, hold the matte surface in your hand, avoid touching the light-transmitting surface, and ensure that the light-transmitting surface is clean and the solution to be tested has no bubbles or suspended solids. Wash immediately after use.
5. Zero adjustment (Transmittance 0%): In T mode, place the shading body into the sample holder and enter the light path, press the "Zero" button, the display shows "00.0" or "-00.0" to complete the zero adjustment, and remove the shading body after completion.
Notice
• Rated voltage is 220V +/- 22V, 50Hz +/- 1Hz, abnormal power supply voltage will cause the instrument to fail to work.
• Should be installed in the drying room, Ambient Temperature is 5 ℃~ 35 ℃ (recommended 15 ℃~ 28 ℃), relative humidity is not more than 85% (generally controlled at 45% -65%).
• Avoid strong winds and direct rays of light.
It should be installed on a sturdy and stable workbench without strong or continuous vibration.
• Operating Environment should be free of corrosion gases such as hydrogen sulfide and fluorine nitrite.
Keep away from high-intensity magnetic fields, electric fields, or equipment that generates high-frequency waves.
The power supply needs to be well grounded, and it is best to use an independent ground wire.
• After the test wavelength correction (Transmittance 100%), wait for 5 minutes to stabilize before testing.
• The Glass Cuvette attached to the instrument is paired and tested, and the unpaired Cuvette will affect the Test accuracy.
• Handheld Cuvette should hold its matte surface, do not touch the light-transmitting surface; if the light-transmitting surface has fingerprints, traces of solution, or bubbles and suspended solids in the solution to be tested, it will affect the Test accuracy.
• After use, the Cuvette should be cleaned immediately.
