Overview
CS-260 Pantone Formula Guide Reader is a precision color measuring instrument that can read the sample Color and display the closest Pantone Formula Guide number. It is widely used in the field of Color management in plastics, printing, paints inks, Spinning & weaving, printing and dyeing garments, etc. It can measure the color values of L * a * b, L * c * h of samples, and calculate the color difference Delta E and Delta Lab values.

Principle
The instrument is illuminated at 8 °/d (8 ° illumination/diffuse light reception) and contains specular reflected light (SCI). The sample is illuminated by LED Illuminant, and the built-in Japanese Sensor receives the reflected light signal, which is accurately calculated by the American information processing chip. The measured Color information is compared with the built-in Pantone Formula Guide electronic database, so as to quickly obtain the closest Pantone Formula Guide number.

Steps
1. Boot and select Operating language.
2. Instrument calibrated (if required).
3. Align the measurement diameter with the tested sample for measurement.
4. The instrument automatically displays the color value (e.g. L * a * b) and the nearest Pantone Formula Guide number.
5. You can view color differences, save data or print reports through the software.
6. Multi-point measurement and automatic calculation of average value.
Notice
• Please ensure that the measurement diameter (φ 8mm) completely covers the tested area.
• Instrument calibration is recommended before measurement to ensure data accuracy.
• The instrument can be powered by 4 AA1.5V alkaline batteries, nickel-metal hydride batteries or DC5V professional adapters.
Data can be transferred through a USB 2.0 interface to a printer or computer.
When storing data, please pay attention to grouping to avoid confusion between standard and sample data.
• For samples with uneven Color, it is recommended to use the multi-point test to take the average function.
