Principle
The SMART SENSOR AR872 + Infrared Thermometer works based on the principle of infrared radiation. It receives infrared energy at wavelengths of 8 to 14 μm emitted by the target object, converts it into an electrical signal and processes it into a temperature reading. The instrument uses a 50:1 object distance ratio, which can accurately measure at long distances. The emissivity can be adjusted from 0.1 to 1.0 to adapt to different surface characteristics.

Steps
Install 2 1.5V AAA batteries to ensure sufficient power supply.
2. Turn on the power switch of the instrument and select the temperature unit (° C or ° F).
3. Use the laser positioning function to aim at the target measurement point.
4. Press the measurement button and the instrument displays the temperature reading within 500ms.
5. To lock data, use the data locking function to save the current reading.
6. After the measurement is completed, the instrument can automatically shut down to save power.
Notice
* Avoid aiming the instrument directly at Illuminant or reflection surfaces to prevent measurement errors.
* Ensure that the working Ambient Temperature is in the range of 0~ 40 ℃, and the relative humidity is 10~ 90% RH without condensation.
* Store in -20~ 60 ℃ environment to prevent extreme temperature damage.
* Regularly check the battery level, low battery level may affect Measurement accuracy.
* Clean the lens in time after use and keep the Optical inspection parts clean.
Non-professional personnel should not disassemble the instrument to avoid malfunction.
