Overview
JFL JFL-B60 (ordinary metal shell) glossmeter is a surface gloss measurement instrument with 60 ° Measurement Angles and a metal shell. Measurement range is 0.0~ 199.0G. The instrument is powered by a AA battery, the body is small and portable, and is designed according to domestic and foreign standards. It is suitable for surface gloss measurement of paints, plastics, printing, plates, ceramics, metals, paper and other materials.
Features
1. Metal shell design, sturdy and durable
2.60 ° Standard Measurement Angles for a wide range of applications
3. Measurement range 0~ 199.9GU, Graduation 0.1GU
4. Compact and portable, weight only 300g
5. Powered by a AA battery, easy to use
6. Measuring Area 10 * 20mm, measurement port is oval
Principle
The glossmeter projects rays of light to the measured surface at a 60 ° angle, receives the reflected light intensity and converts it into a Glossiness value display. The instrument needs to be calibrated with a black Glass standard plate, and then verified by a white ceramic standard plate to ensure that the measurement results meet the standard requirements.
Applications
Paints, Coatings, inks, Plastics, Stone, Flooring, Wood Furniture Surfaces
Standards
ISO-2813、ASTM-D2457、GB9754、GB9966、GB8807
Steps
1. Press the switch to start the instrument
2. Place the instrument on the Black Glass standard board and swirl/spin the adjustment knob to make the displayed value the same as the nominal value of the standard board
3. Place the instrument on the white ceramic standard plate and verify that the error between the displayed value and the standard plate nominal value should not be greater than +/- 1.2 Gloss unit
4. Sample measurement after calibrating
5. Show overflow "1" when Measured value exceeds 199.9 Gloss units
Notice
• The calibrating process does not have to be done every time, and then calibrate when the error exceeds the error
• If the error of the white ceramic standard plate exceeds the error during verification, problems such as the dirt of the standard plate should be considered
• Measured values exceeding 199.9 Gloss units display overflow "1"
• Make sure the battery is fully charged before use
