Overview
JFL JFL-BZ20 glossmeter is a high Gloss smart gloss measurement instrument with 20 degree Measurement Angles. Measurement range is 0.0~ 300.0 Gloss unit. The instrument is powered by four small nickel-metal hydride rechargeable batteries and has an integrated microcontroller circuit design. It has the characteristics of long Illuminant life, good Repeatability, small size and good Stability. It is suitable for the measurement of surface Glossiness in high-gloss Coatings, paints, plastics, printing and other fields.
Features
1. Illuminant long life
2. Repeatability measurement
3. Compact and portable
4. Excellent Stability
5. No need to calibrate frequently
6. Easy to use
Principle
The glossmeter emits rays of light to the measured surface through 20 degree Measurement Angles, calculates the Glossiness value according to the reflected light intensity, uses a single-chip microcomputer circuit to process the measurement data, and directly displays the measurement results.
Applications
Coatings, paints, inks, plastics, Stone, flooring, wood furniture
Standards
ISO-2813、ASTM-D2457、GB9754、GB8807
Steps
1. Press the switch, place the instrument on the Black Glass Calibration plate, swirl/spin the adjustment knob so that the displayed value is the same as the nominal value of the standard plate
2. Place the instrument on the white ceramic standard board, and check that the error between the displayed value and the nominal value should not be greater than +/- 1.2 Gloss unit
3. When the error exceeds, calibrate again according to the method of the first two steps
4. After calibrating the measurement sample, the overflow "1" is displayed when the Measured value exceeds 199.9 Gloss units
Notice
• Need to calibrate before measurement
• Standard board should be kept clean to avoid dirt affecting Measurement accuracy
• When the error between the display value and the nominal value of the white ceramic standard plate is greater than +/- 1.2 Gloss unit, it needs to be re-calibrated
• Measured values over 199.9 Gloss units will show an overflow prompt
