The Leneta Form 18A permeable cardboard is an imported Spreader test cardboard designed for measuring the hiding power performance of coatings, inks, paints and other products. Its surface pattern consists of four sub-regions, namely white sealed, white unsealed, black sealed and white sealed, providing a standardized test substrate for objective evaluation of covering effect.

Principle
The cardboard uses the preset black and white areas on its surface (some areas are sealed coated) as the test background. Spreader the paint to be tested evenly on the cardboard, and after drying, measure the reflectance (or luminance value Y) of the black area and the white area after film, and calculate according to the formula "covering rate (%) = Y black/Y white * 100%". The closer the covering rate is to 100%, the stronger the covering ability of the coating, that is, it can completely cover the Color difference of the substrate.

Steps
1. Spreader the paint to be tested evenly on the Form 18A test cardboard according to the standard film procedure.
2. Wait for the film to fully dry in the air.
3. Use professional instruments (such as reflectance measurement instrument) to measure the dried film, the instrument can quickly calculate and display the hiding power value.
