Overview
JFL QFH-A600 cross-cut tester is a test tool for the measurement of paint film adhesion performance by cross-cut method. It adopts carbide steel blades with high Hardness and strong Abrasion Resistance, which can achieve the same effect as imported blades. The product is handheld design, easy to carry, suitable for laboratory and construction site environments.
Features
1. Carbide steel blade, High Hardness, Abrasion Resistance
2. Can achieve the same cross-cutting effect as imported blades
3. Handheld design, easy to carry
4. Suitable for various environments in laboratories and construction sites
5. Tool tooth specifications are optional to meet different testing requirements
Principle
The QFH cross-cut tester cuts the coatings into lattice patterns with specific specifications and penetrates the coatings, evaluates the coating adhesion performance according to the six-level classification, and detects the adhesion effect of the coatings separated from the substrate.
Applications
Organic coatings Cross-cut adhesion determination, Coatings, paints
Standards
ISOR1514、ISO2828
Steps
1. In accordance with ISOR1514 and ISO2828 provisions of the preparation sample
2. Place the sample on a flat surface with sufficient Hardness
3. Hold the QFH-A600 cross-cut tester handle so that the multi-edge cutting knife is perpendicular to the test piece plane
4. Maintain uniform pressure and cut smoothly at a speed of 20-50mm/s
5. The test piece swirl/spin 90 °, the repeability cut operation to form a lattice pattern
6. Use a soft brush to gently brush 5 times forward and 5 times backward along the diagonal of the grid diagram
7. Complete the test in at least three different positions on the test piece and record all results
8. When replacing the multi-blade cutting knife, use the screw driver to loosen the screw and tighten it after replacement
Notice
• Test environment should be at 23 +/- 2 ℃ temperature and relative humidity 50 +/- 5%
• All cuts should penetrate the coating, but not too deep into the substrate
• Use US 3M's 600-1PK test special tape, stick it on the entire cross-cut and tear it off at the smallest angle
• If the coating is too thick or too hard so that the cross-cut tester cannot penetrate the substrate, the experiment is invalid
