Overview
DGC G Leeb hardness tester Probe is an optional Impact device designed for the measurement of large or heavy specimens and rough surface castings and forgings, suitable for a variety of industrial hardness testing scenarios.
Features
1. Impact energy is 90Num, providing stable test performance.
2. The ball head is made of Tungsen carbide material, Hardness up to 1600HV, Abrasion Resistance.
3. Impact device diameter 30mm, length 254mm, compact design for easy operation.
4. Suitable for rough surfaces, with a maximum surface roughness of 30A and an average asperity of 7A.
5. The minimum weight of the specimen is 15kg, and the minimum test thickness is 10mm, which is suitable for large workpieces.
Principle
The G Probe produces 90Num of Impact energy through the Impact device, and the ball head contacts the surface of the specimen to form a Cedar. Hardness value is calculated according to the diameter and depth of the Cedar, which is suitable for rough surface casting and forging.
Applications
Large specimen measurement, heavy workpiece measurement, rough surface casting and forging measurement
Steps
Ensure that the weight of the specimen is at least 15kg and the support is stable.
2. Align the Probe with the specimen surface, maintaining vertical contact.
3. Impact device is triggered for measurement.
4. Read and record the Crowd data to calculate the Hardness value.
Notice
• The minimum weight of the specimen is 15kg, and it is necessary to ensure stable support.
• The minimum test thickness of the specimen is 10mm to avoid measurement errors caused by too thin.
• Only for specimens with surface roughness not exceeding 30A.
• Keep the Probe vertical during operation to prevent tilting from affecting accuracy.
