The ERICHSEN erichsen 295/II cross-cut knife is a professional lacquer finish cross-cut test instrument that meets a wide range of international cross-cut test standards. It consists of a plastic handle and an adjustable stainless steel cutter head for comfort of operation, with optional adhesive tape according to EN ISO 2409. The instrument is fully equipped with a cutter head, nylon brush, 2.5x magnifying glass and a sturdy plastic carrying case, accompanied by manufacturer's certificate M.

Principle
The cross-cut knife evaluates the adhesion performance of the coating by cutting a grid pattern with a predetermined spacing on the surface of the coating. Select the corresponding knife tooth spacing according to different film thickness ranges, and judge the bonding strength between the coating and the substrate by observing the mesh peeling after cutting.

Steps
1. Select the appropriate cutter head according to the test criteria
2. Adjust the cutter head to a comfortable operating position
3. Cross-cut on the coating surface

6. Evaluate adhesion grade according to standard requirements
