Overview
The ERICHSEN erichsen 295/V cross-cut knife is a professional instrument for cross-cut testing of paints. It consists of a plastic handle and adjustable head for comfortable operation. The instrument is available in different types of heads and can optionally be equipped with adhesive tape according to EN ISO 2409 to meet a variety of testing needs.

Principle
The cross-cut knife evaluates the adhesion of the coating by drawing a specific spaced grid on the coating surface with the cutter head. The cutter head can be adjusted to a comfortable position to ensure test accuracy and conformity.

Steps
1. Choose the appropriate cutter head and spacing according to the film thickness
2. Adjust the cutter head to a comfortable position
3. Draw a grid on the coating surface
4. Use a nylon brush to clean the test area
5. Observe and evaluate results with magnifying glass
