Overview
The SP4400 cupping instrument is a special test equipment designed by TQC sheen brand according to the ISO 1520 standard to evaluate the cracking performance of coatings at different deformation stages and the separation performance from metal substrates. The instrument has a built-in gearbox to reduce manual force and maintain a stable pressure application. It ensures uniform deformation of the test plate. The depth of depression and deformation are displayed digitally in 0.01mm resolution.

Principle
Cupping test machine through the built-in gearbox to reduce manual force, stable pressure to make the test plate uniform deformation, indenter at 0.2mm/s speed indentation test plate, digital display indentation depth and deformation to evaluate the coating cracking and separation performance.

Steps
1) Place the test plate in the clamping device with the coating facing up and the thickness does not exceed the specification
2) Close the clamping device, don't use too much force
3) Turn on the Micrometer
4) Gently turn the handle up, raise the high voltage head, and the depression speed is 0.2mm/s
5) Determine the result by predetermined indentation depth or coating indentation
6) Turn the indenter back to the 0 position
7) Release the clamping device and take out the sample
Notice
- The thickness of the test plate should not exceed the thickness indicated on the specification and tester, otherwise it may damage the drive shaft and cause deformation
- Do not use too much force when clamping, otherwise it will take a lot of force to loosen the test board when removing it
