Overview
The NH3-US Ammonia Gas sensing electrode is an ion selective Electrode designed for ammonia concentration measurement. Its measurement range is wide, covering 0.02 to 17000ppm (or 1 × 10-6~ 1M), suitable for ammonia content detection in a variety of environments.
Features
1. Composite design, no additional reference Electrode is required, simplifying operation.
2. Using epoxy resin shell, sturdy and durable, not easy to break.
3. Equipped with 1-meter cable and standard BNC connector for easy connection.
Principle
Based on the principle of ion-selective Electrode, the Electrode selectively responds to ammonia in the sample through the breathable membrane at the front end of the Electrode. Ammonia diffuses into the interior of the Electrode, causing changes in the pH value of the internal electrolysis solution, which is then detected by the built-in pH Glass electrode, thereby converting the ammonia concentration into a measurable electrical signal.
Applications
Water quality analysis, environment monitoring, industrial process control, agriculture, laboratory research
Steps
1. Connect the Electrode to the corresponding measuring instrument via the BNC connector.
2. Calibrate according to the instrument instructions, usually using a standard solution of known concentration.
3. Immerse the Electrode in the sample to be tested to ensure that the breathable membrane is in complete contact with the solution.
4. Wait for the reading to stabilize and record the measurement results.
5. After use, clean and store the Electrode as required.
Notice
• Please read the instructions of the instrument and Electrode carefully before use.
• Ensure that the breathable membrane on the front end of the Electrode is clean and intact to avoid scratches or contamination.
• When calibrating and measuring, the sample temperature should be kept stable to obtain accurate results.
• Electrode, when not in use, should be stored in an appropriate filling solution as required.
• Electrode exposure to strong acids, bases or organic solvents is avoided.
• Do not disassemble the Electrode to avoid damaging the internal sensitive components.
