Overview
Scratcher for corrosion testing is a tool specially designed for corrosion testing of painted steel plates or specimens. It is used to scratch the surface of the coating to observe the detailed phenomenon of corrosion in multi-coating systems. The BGD 1285 model meets the requirements of ISO 17872:2007 and GB/T 30786 standards. It is equipped with a "V" cutting tool at one end and a "U" cutting tool at the other end. The tool is made of tungsten steel, which can be easily and quickly drawn. The corresponding incision can be easily and quickly drawn, and the blade can be replaced.
Features
1. Comply with ISO 17872:2007 and GB/T 30786 standards.
2. Equipped with two "V" shaped cutting tools at one end and two "U" shaped cutting tools at the other end, the function is integrated.
3. The cutting tool is made of tungsten steel, which is sturdy and durable.
4. "V" or "U" shaped incision can be easily and quickly drawn.
5. The blade can be replaced for easy maintenance.
Principle
The scratcher applies pressure and scratches on the surface of the painted specimen through the "V" and "U" shaped tungsten steel cutting tools installed at both ends, so as to form a notch specified in the standard, so as to observe the corrosion occurrence and development of the coating system at the scratch.
Applications
Corrosion test of painted steel plate and corrosion observation of multi-coating system
Standards
ISO 17872:2007、GB/T 30786
Steps
1. According to the requirements of the test standard, choose the "V" or "U" shaped tool end of the scratcher.
2. Align the scratcher tool on the surface of the painted specimen to be tested.
3. Apply appropriate pressure, swipe smoothly, and scratch the required incision on the coating surface.
4. Check whether the incision meets the test requirements.
Notice
• Please confirm that the tool is firmly installed and not loose before use.
• Pay attention to safety during operation and avoid tool scratches.
• Select the appropriate incision type ("V" or "U") according to the test criteria.
• The tool should be replaced in time after abrasion to ensure the mass of the incision.
• Do not use the scratcher for non-specified materials or purposes.
