Overview
The OSP-150 L700φ 10 Spreader rod is a Grooved Rods film applicator developed by OSP and made of 304 stainless steel. The product uses cold extrusion technology to form a precise concave-convex wavy Linear dispersion on the surface of the steel rod, which is used to replace the traditional wire-wrapped bar to achieve a uniform wet-film Spreader. The maximum wet film thickness is 150 μm.
Features
1. The cold extrusion technology is used for integrated molding, and the surface is free of winding steel wires, completely avoiding the problem of loosening or breaking of traditional bar steel wires.
2. Linear dispersion on the surface is smooth and smooth, easy to clean, and not easy to remain coated or blocked.
3. Capable of ultra-thin film Spreader, breaking through the traditional bar Spreader limit.
4. Provide a variety of mountain types (such as standard S type, left and right spiral combination, square eye pattern, etc.), which can be selected according to the characteristics of the substrate and coating liquid to solve various problems in Spreader processing, such as reducing bubble mixing.
5. Coating Weight is more stable than traditional wire scrapers.
Principle
The Spreader rod uses the principle of metal plastic deformation to cold-extrude a concave-convex wavy Linear dispersion of a specific shape (such as S-type) on the surface of 304 stainless steel rod through a precision mold. The grooves formed by these Linear dispersions hold and transfer the Basis Weight coating liquid during the Spreader process. When the Spreader rod rolls or scrapes on the substrate, a uniform and film thickness controllable wet-film can be formed.
Applications
It is suitable for fields that require precision Spreaders, such as coating research and development and testing, printing electronics, functional film prepatives, Adhesive Spreaders, Optical inspection films, laboratory research, etc.
Standards
No specific standards are mentioned in the reference.
Steps
Select the appropriate OSP bar type (e.g. OSP-150) according to the desired wet film thickness (e.g. 150 μm) and Spreader conditions.
2. Install the Spreader stick (model OSP-150 L700φ 10) on the applicable Spreader device to ensure a stable clamping.
3. Apply the liquid to be Spreader evenly on the front end of the substrate or in front of the Spreader rod.
4. Push or pull the Spreader rod at a uniform speed and pressure to make it move smoothly on the surface of the substrate to complete the Spreader process.
5. After the Spreader is completed, use a suitable solvent (such as alcohol) to clean the residual coating liquid on the surface of the Spreader rod in time.
Notice
• Product pictures are for reference only. Appearance is subject to the actual product.
• When cleaning, it is recommended to soak and wipe with a suitable solvent (such as alcohol) to keep the mountain groove clean and unobstructed.
• When operating, make sure that the Spreader stick is firmly installed and the traverse speed is uniform to obtain a consistent Spreader effect.
• Please refer to the selection table to select the appropriate bar type and tooth shape specification according to the characteristics of the substrate, the viscosity of the coating liquid and the target film thickness.
• Avoid scratching or hitting the surface of the Spreader rod with hard objects to prevent damage to the precise concave-convex Linear dispersion structure.
