Overview
HYL-105 Angle of repose tester is a professional measuring instrument under the HYLOLOGY brand. It is designed and produced according to the national standard GB/T 16913.5-1997 (refer to ISO 4324:1997) and is used to measure the angle of repose (angle of repose) of dust. The instrument adopts the injection method to define the bottom surface. By injecting dust from the funnel into the horizontal plate, it directly measures the acute angle between the inclined surface of dust accumulation and the bottom horizontal plane, which is suitable for the determination of the angle of repose of dust samples.
Features
According to the national standard GB/T 16913.5-1997 (refer to ISO 4324:1997) design, measurement method standard.
2. The injection method is used to define the bottom surface, and the dust resting angle is directly measured with a protractor, which is easy to operate.
3. The complete set of equipment is made of 304 stainless steel, which is sturdy and durable.
4. The measurement repeatability error is small, ≤ 1%, and the result is reliable.
Principle
The Working Principle of the instrument is to inject enough dust from the funnel mouth to the horizontal tray to form a dust accumulation. Subsequently, the acute angle between the inclined surface of the dust accumulation and the bottom horizontal plane is directly measured, and this angle is the resting angle of the dust.
Applications
Determination of dust resting angle
Standards
GB/T 16913.5-1997、ISO 4324:1997
Steps
1. Prepare the instrument to ensure that the funnel, protractor and chassis (tray) are clean and placed horizontally.
2. Load the dust sample to be tested into the funnel.
3. Open the funnel outlet, let the dust fall freely, and inject it into the horizontal tray at the bottom until the dust overflows the tray.
4. Use a protractor to directly measure the angle between the slope of the dust accumulated on the tray and the bottom horizontal plane, which is the angle of dust repose.
Notice
• Before use, make sure that all parts of the instrument (especially the funnel outlet) are clean and drying without residual dust.
• Ensure that the chassis (material tray) is in a horizontal state during operation to ensure measurement accuracy.
When injecting dust, it should be allowed to fall naturally and continuously to avoid human interference in the accumulation process.
• During measurement, the protractor needs to be accurately aligned with the intersection of the dust accumulation slope and the chassis plane for reading.
• The instrument is a precision measurement equipment, please handle it with care to avoid collision, and clean and maintain it in time after use.
