Overview
SMTMF HRM-45DT Motorized Surface Rockwell Hardness Tester is a test instrument used to determine the hardness of materials by measuring the ability of materials to resist pressing. Hardness testing is an economical, rapid and effective method for judging the mass of metal materials or parts, and can be used to approximate Miscellaneous Mechanical Properties.
Features
1. Accurate, reliable and durable.
2. Strong construction and good rigidity.
3. Hardness resolution is 0.5 Rockwell units.
4. Direct dial reading, support HR15N, HR30N, HR45N, HR15T, HR30T, HR45T ruler.
5. External test force selection knob, easy to operate.
6. Adopt a precision oil pressure buffer, with adjustable loading speed.
7. The test space is large, allowing for the placement of larger samples.
8. It has a wide range of applications, easy operation, and good economy and practicality.
9. The accuracy conforms to GB/T 230.2, ISO 6508 and American ASTM E18 standards.
10. The standard configuration is complete, meeting the testing requirements of all rulers.
11. Illuminant, can clearly observe the test point.
Principle
The hardness gauge presses the indenter (diamond or steel ball) into the surface of the specimen by applying the specified initial and total test forces. The rockwell hardness value of the material is calculated by measuring the difference in the depth of the indentation under a specific test force, which is read directly through the dial.
Applications
Surface hardened steel, material surface heat treatment and chemical treatment layer, copper and aluminum alloy, sheet, zinc plating, chrome plating, tin plating material, bearing steel, cold hard casting
Standards
ISO 6508、ASTM E18、GB/T230.2
Steps
1. Select the appropriate indenter (diamond Rockwell indenter or φ 1.5875mm carbide steel ball indenter) and test bench according to the test requirements.
2. Place the specimen smoothly on the test bench.
3. Select the required test force (15kgf, 30kgf, or 45kgf) through the external knob.
4. Start the equipment and apply the initial test force (3kgf).
5. The equipment is automatically loaded to the total test force and maintained for the specified time.
6. After removing the main test force, read the corresponding rockwell hardness value (such as HR15N, HR30T, etc.) directly from the dial while maintaining the initial test force.
Notice
• Please read the product instruction manual carefully before use.
• Ensure that the surface of the specimen is clean, flat, and firmly placed on the test bench.
• According to the type and thickness of the material to be tested, correctly select the indenter, test force scale and test bench.
• Periodically calibrate instruments using the included Rockwell Standard Hardness Blocks to ensure Test accuracy.
Equipment should be placed on a stable workbench to avoid vibration.
• During the test, the distance from the center of the indenter to the fuselage is 165mm, and the maximum height of the specimen shall not exceed 170mm.
• Do not touch moving parts during operation.
• Keep the equipment clean, and it is recommended to use a dust cover when not in use for a long time.
