Overview
The MHVS-1000 Touchscreen digital display microhardness gauge adopts large-size LCD display screen and menu-type Operating interface, which is suitable for measuring the microhardness of small, thin, surface-permeable platings, as well as the determination of the Knoop Hardness of more brittle materials such as Glass, Ceramics, Agate, and Artificial Gemstones.
Features
1. Microscopic Vickers and Knoop Hardness scales can be selected.
2. The Hardness value of the test is automatically calculated and displayed.
3. The test point is automatically positioned accurately.
4. Hardness value conversion can be carried out according to different materials.
5. Adopt adjustable cold Illuminant measurement system.
Principle
The hardness gauge applies the test force by automatic means (loading, holding, unloading), pressing the diamond indenter into the surface of the specimen, and removing the test force after maintaining the specified time. The Hardness value is automatically calculated by measuring the diagonal length of the Che and according to the selected Hardness scale (Microscopic Vickers or Knoop).
Applications
Micro parts hardness testing, thin specimen hardness testing, surface penetration platings hardness testing, Glass, ceramics, agate, artificial gemstones and other brittle hard materials Knoop hardness testing
Standards
GBT4340.1、GBT4340.2、ASTM_E92
Steps
1. Turn on the power and select the Hardness scale (Micro Vickers or Knoop) according to the material.
2. Place the specimen on a suitable clamping stage (e.g. cross test stage, sheet clamping stage, etc.), and ensure that the height and width of the specimen are within the allowable range (maximum height 120mm, maximum width 110mm).
3. Use the horizontal adjustment screw and level to adjust the main engine to a horizontal state.
4. Select the required test force (10gf to 1kgf) through the Operating interface menu.
5. Manually switch the indenter and the objective lens, use the 100x objective lens to observe and accurately find the test point.
6. Start the test, and the equipment will automatically complete the loading, holding (time adjustable from 0 to 60 seconds), and unloading process.
7. Switch to the 400 times measurement objective, and measure the diagonal length of the Crain through the micrometer eyepiece (the device usually completes the calculation and display automatically).
8. Read and record the Hardness value automatically calculated and displayed on the LCD screen.
Notice
• Please read the product manual carefully before use.
Make sure the power supply is AC220V +/- 5%, 50-60Hz.
• The main unit must be adjusted to a horizontal state with a level before the test.
• When selecting the test force, it is necessary to choose reasonably according to the material and thickness of the sample to avoid piercing or unclear Crane.
• Be careful when manually switching between indenter and objective.
The load holding time can be set in the range of 0-60 seconds according to the material characteristics.
• The maximum height of the specimen shall not exceed 120mm, and the maximum width shall not exceed 110mm.
The device is equipped with a spare light bulb (6V12W), please refer to the instructions if you need to replace it.
• Periodically calibrate using the included standard MicroVickers Hardness block to ensure test accuracy.
Please pay attention to safety when moving or cleaning equipment, the weight of the main unit is 31kg.
