Principle
The hardness gauge is used for hardness testing by Vickers or Knoop Cedar method. The set test force is automatically applied and maintained by Sensor closed-loop control technology, so that the indenter forms a Cedar on the surface of the sample. Subsequently, the diagonal length of the Cedar is observed and measured by a high-magnification Optical inspection measurement system (Microscope), and the minimum resolution of the measurement system is 0.01 μm. The built-in computer software automatically calculates and displays the corresponding Vickers or Knoop Hardness value according to the input test force parameters and the measured Cedar size.
Applications
It is suitable for the measurement of Vickers Hardness of small, book-shaped specimens, surface penetration platings and other specimens, the determination of Vickers Hardness of fragile materials such as Glass, ceramics, agate, gemstones, etc., especially suitable for testing gear tooth surface Hardness, is a research and testing hardness testing instrument for scientific research institutions, enterprises and Quality control departments
Standards
The data did not mention specific compliance criteria.
Steps
1. Turn on the power supply (AC220V/50Hz) and turn on the host.
2. Enter the test parameters through the software interface, such as selecting the test force (1.96, 4.90, 9.80, 29.4, 49, 98N), test method (Vickers or Knoop), and holding time (0 to 60s).
3. Place the specimen on the test bench and adjust the position to ensure that the test area is within the field of view of the objective lens.
4. Start the automatic test program, and the instrument will automatically complete the process of loading and unloading the test force.
5. After the holding time, observe the Cedar through the Microscope, and use the micrometer eyepiece or image analysis system to measure the diagonal length of the Cedar.
6. The instrument software automatically calculates and displays the Hardness value, and the result can be saved or output through the printer.
7. After the test is completed, turn off the power.
Notice
Please read the product instruction manual carefully before use.
Make sure the power supply is AC220V/50Hz and use the power cord equipped with the instrument.
The instrument should be placed on a stable working table and adjusted to a horizontal state using horizontal adjustment screws and a level gauge.
* Before testing, it is recommended to calibrate with random Vickers Hardness blocks to ensure measurement accuracy.
When selecting the test force, it should be reasonably selected according to the size, thickness and expected Hardness value of the sample to avoid damage to the sample or indenter.
Microscope and measurement systems should be operated with care to avoid collisions.
The maximum specimen height of the instrument is 200mm and the maximum width is 320mm. Please do not use it beyond the limit.
Periodically check the spare melt core (2A) and replace it promptly if it is damaged.
* Keep instruments clean, especially Optical inspection parts.
Non-professionals should not disassemble the host by themselves.
