The HOBO MX2202 is a waterproof temperature/light level recorder that uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology to wirelessly transmit accurate temperature and relative light level measurements to iOS or Android mobile devices. Designed for long-term deployment, this compact and durable recorder is suitable for temperature monitoring in environments such as streams, lakes, oceans, and soils, making field data collection easier and more efficient.

Principle
The HOBO MX2202 recorder measures Ambient Temperature and Illumination with a built-in Sensor and stores the collected Data in an internal memory. Users can wirelessly connect the recorder via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology using the HOBOmobile app on the mobile device to set parameters, view data in real time or download history. The LED indicator on the device will alert when the monitored temperature exceeds the user's preset threshold.

Steps
1. Download and install the free HOBOmobile app on your mobile device (iOS or Android).
2. Search through the app and connect the MX2202 recorder via Bluetooth.
3. Set parameters such as the Sampling interval of the recorder (adjustable from 1 second to 18 hours) and the temperature Alarm threshold in the application.
4. Deploy the logger to the target monitoring point (e.g. in water or soil) using the mounting tag.
5. The recorder starts automatically collecting and storing temperature and lighting data at set intervals.
6. When you need to view data, connect wirelessly through the app and download the data.
7. When the battery is low, users can replace the CR2032 battery by themselves.
Notice
* The recorder can be used in indoor, outdoor and underwater (up to 30.5 meters deep) environments.
* Measurement range is -20 ° C to 70 ° C, do not use in environments outside this range.
* Illumination (Illumination) Measurement range is 0 to 167,731 lux with typical accuracy of +/- 10% in direct solar conditions.
The Bluetooth wireless transmission distance is approximately 30.5 meters under line-of-sight conditions.
Battery life is 1/2 year depending on sampling Frequency and environmental conditions.
* Equipment shell is polypropylene (PP) material, sealing ring is EPDM, do not use in corrosion chemical environment.
* Data download time is about 45 seconds, please make sure to operate in a stable signal environment.
* Time accuracy is +/- 1 minute per month (@25 ° C), long-term monitoring requires attention to possible clock drift.
