MC-3000B is an integrated Coating thickness gauge introduced by KODIN, which can quickly, non-destructive and precise measurement of coating and platings thickness. The instrument can be used in both laboratories and engineering sites. By using different probes, it can meet the needs of various measurements and is widely used in manufacturing, metal processing, chemical industry, commodity inspection and other testing fields.
1. Using magnetic and eddy Current two thickness measurement methods, the thickness of nonmagnetic coating on magnetic metal substrate and nonconductive coating on nonmagnetic metal substrate can be nondestructive measurement. 6 types of probes (F0.5, F1.2, F3, F5, F9, N1.2) can be used. 3. With temperature compensation function, equipped with "phase locked loop" technology. 4. With screen flip function, you can manually select flip to display measurement data. 5. Adopt 2.4-inch TFT high definition color screen (320 * 240 pixels), large digital display. 6. Measurement speed can choose two modes of single measurement and continuous measurement. 7. Three methods can be used to calibrate the instrument, and the basic calibrating method can be used to correct the system error of the probe. 8. The MC-3000B Coating thickness gauge adopts two measurement principles: magnetic Induction and eddy Current. For the nonmagnetic coating on the magnetic metal substrate, the magnetic Induction method is used for measurement; for the nonconductive coating on the nonmagnetic metal substrate, the eddy Current method is used for measurement. The instrument obtains thickness data nondestructive through the interaction of Probe with the coating and the matrix material.

1. Select the appropriate probe according to the measurement requirements and install it. 2. Power on and select Display Language and Measurement unit. 3. Select the magnetic or eddy Current Measurement mode according to the measurement substrate and coating type. 4. Use a standard sheet to calibrate the instrument (one of three calibration methods can be used). 5. Smooth and vertical contact of the probe with the coating surface for measurement. 6. Single measurement or Continuous Measurement mode can be selected to obtain data. 7. The measurement data can be automatically stored or the suspicious data can be manually deleted. 8. The measurement limit can be set, and the over-limit data instrument will alarm. 9. After the measurement is completed, the data can be wirelessly transmitted to the computer or printer via Bluetooth. 10. After use, you can choose to shut down manually or wait for automatic shutdown.
• Measurement mode (magnetic method or eddy Current method) should be selected according to the matrix material (magnetic or nonmagnetic) and coating properties (nonmagnetic or nonconductive) before measurement. • Before measurement, the instrument must be calibrated with a standard sheet that matches the substrate and expected thickness range to ensure measurement accuracy. • When measuring, the probe must be in vertical and stable contact with the surface of the coating to be tested, and the V-groove can be used for the measurement of curved surfaces such as pipes. • Pay attention to the minimum measurement surface requirements corresponding to each probe (e.g. F0.5 probe is 6mm) to ensure that the measured area meets the requirements. The instrument has a temperature compensation function, but it is still necessary to pay attention to the potential impact of Ambient Temperature on measurement when used in extreme temperature environments. • Regularly check the battery level, the instrument will prompt when the battery is low, and it should be replaced in time to avoid affecting the measurement or data loss. • Pay attention to the capacity when storing data, and export or clean it in time after more than 10,000 measurement points. When communicating wirelessly, ensure that the device is within the effective range of Bluetooth and paired correctly. • When cleaning the instrument, wipe it with a soft dry cloth to avoid using corrosion detergents or allowing liquids to enter the inside of the instrument. • When not in use for a long time, remove the battery and store the instrument in a drying, dust-free environment.
