Overview
The FANGRUI QBZY-3 surface tensiometer is a professional-grade interface chemical analysis instrument designed to meet the needs of users for High Accuracy R & D and quality control. It is used to analyze the surface tension of liquids to study their physical properties such as solubility, wettability, and foaming. It is a basic means for quality control in the industrialization process. The instrument has won a national patent (patent number: 2011200652242).

Principle
The QBZY-3 surface tensiometer uses the platinum plate method and the platinum ring method for measurement. The platinum plate method uses the sensing platinum plate immersed in a liquid. When the liquid surface tension and equilibrate force reach equilibrium, the instrument measures the immersion depth and converts it into a surface tension value. The platinum ring method (du Nouy method) is to slowly lift the platinum ring after immersing in the liquid, sense the maximum force formed before the platinum ring and the liquid column are separated, and then convert it into a surface tension value through calculation.

Steps
1. Platinum plate method operation steps: gradually immerse the platinum plate in the liquid; in the state of immersion in the liquid surface, the sensor senses the equilibrate value; convert the sensed equilibrate value into the surface tension value and display it.
2. Platinum ring method operation steps: gently immerse the platinum ring in the liquid; then slowly lift the platinum ring up to sense the highest force value formed when the platinum ring and the liquid sample will be separated; convert the highest value into surface tension value by calculating software.
Notice
• Please ensure the level of the instrument before use (by adjusting the foot horizontally and calibrating the level).
• Select the appropriate test method (platinum plate method or platinum ring method) according to the test requirements.
• When using the platinum ring method, the final surface tension value needs to be calculated through the included calculation software or data processing software.
• For samples containing surfactants or volatile matter, the platinum plate method is recommended for real-time measurement.
• When measuring medium and high viscosity liquid samples, it is recommended to use the platinum plate method.
• The instrument has the function of full-scale automatic correction and accuracy automatic correction. It is recommended to regularly use the standard (secondary distillation water and pure ethanol) for calibrating.
• To test at different temperatures and unify the data, please enable the automatic temperature compensation function.
• Optional thermostatic jacket cup and thermostatic circulating bath for temperature control test.
• The instrument can work independently, or it can be connected to a computer through RS232/USB2.0 interface to use data processing software.
• Power supply voltage is 220V/50Hz.
