Overview
The PUSHEN ZBQ25/50/175/225 Custom Film Applicator is a film tool made of hard stainless steel for scraping films of specified film thickness and width on a flat, solid substrate. The Applicator offers High Accuracy fixed film thicknesses and a variety of film widths to customize.
Features
1. Made of stainless steel, corrosion resistant, can resist the erosion of acid and alkaline substances in Coatings or cleaning agents.
2. Mainly used for Spreader specific Film thickness wet-film, to determine the color of the sample, hiding power or preparatory sample.
3. Multi-faceted I-shaped design, a film applicator can provide 4 different film Film thickness.
4. The operation is simple and convenient, just change the angle to obtain different film thicknesses.
Principle
The Film Applicator scrapes across a flat substrate with a scraping edge with precisely fixed Film thickness, leaving a wet-film coating of the specified Film thickness. Its multi-faceted design allows users to quickly obtain a variety of preset film thicknesses by selecting different edges through the swirl/spin Applicator.
Applications
Fineness detection for determining the particle size and dispersion of pigments and impurities in liquids or slurries such as coatings, pigments, colorants, inks, etc., is widely used in plastics, pigments, Printing inks, paper, Pottery and porcelain, food and other fields.
Steps
1. Choose a flat and solid substrate.
2. According to the desired film thickness, swirl/spin Film Applicator to the edge surface of the corresponding Film thickness.
3. Place the Applicator vertically on one end of the substrate.
4. Scrape the Applicator along the surface of the substrate at a uniform speed and appropriate pressure.
5. Lift the Applicator, check and measure the formed wet-film.
Notice
Make sure the substrate surface is flat, firm, and clean before use.
● When scraping, keep the Applicator stable, uniform speed and pressure.
● After use, it should be cleaned with a suitable solvent in time to avoid Coating drying up.
● Please keep it properly to avoid edge bumping to maintain accuracy.
