Overview
The minimum film forming temperature (MFFT) tester is used to determine the minimum temperature at which Resin emulsion forms a continuous and uniform film without crazing under layer heating and drying conditions. Its main structure includes a metal layer plate with a cooling source and a heating source at both ends. The temperature layer is generated through heat conduction. Spreader emulsion wet-film drying film formation, and the minimum film forming temperature (MFFT) is determined by observing the film formation position.
Features
1. Using metal layer plate design, both ends are equipped with cooling source and heating source to achieve accurate temperature layer control.
2. Temperature measurement point up to 13 points, providing High Accuracy Temperature Monitoring.
3. The size of the layer plate is 300 * 200mm, which can simultaneously Spreader 6 samples to improve the testing efficiency.
4. Operating temperature range is wide, from -7 ℃ to 70 ℃, suitable for a variety of testing needs.
5. Compact in appearance, with a size of 520 * 520 * 370mm, making it easy to install and use in the laboratory.
Principle
The instrument is based on the principle of metal heat conduction, and a cooling source and a heating source are arranged at both ends of the metal layer plate to form a temperature layer. Spreader emulsion wet-film of uniform thickness is placed on the layer plate and dried with drying air flow. The sample is affected by temperature to evaporate water film formation. Due to the different temperatures of the layer plates, the film formation positions are different. By observing the junction point of the continuous transparent film and the white opaque non-coalescence film, the corresponding temperature is read from the screen, which is the minimum film forming temperature (MFFT).
Standards
GB/T 9267、ISO 2115、ASTM D 2354
Steps
1. Turn on the power supply and set the Temperature range of the layered board.
2. Spreader the emulsion wet-film test spline of uniform thickness on the layered plate.
3. Start the drying air flow and dry the sample.
4. Observe the film formation and find the junction point of the continuous transparent film and the white opaque film.
5. Read the temperature corresponding to the junction point from the screen and record it as the minimum film forming temperature (MFFT).
Notice
Make sure the input voltage is 220V to avoid power mismatch.
• Spreaders need to ensure uniform thickness to obtain accurate results.
• Pay attention to the Temperature range of the layered plate during operation to prevent exceeding -7~ 70 ° C.
• The drying air flow should be stable to avoid affecting the film formation process.
• Regularly check the instrument status to ensure Measurement accuracy.
